Best Easy Scone Recipe

This is the best easy scone recipe that I have ever come across, although it is not the cheapest one, as cream is needed instead of milk.
The best thing about this easy scone recipe is that it never fails.
I have made it on a few occasions, and they always work out perfectly.
The whole recipe with cooking time included takes about 30 minutes.
Best Easy Scone Recipe
You Will Need:
4 cups of self-raising flour
300 ml of thickened cream
1 cup or a small can of lemonade or soda water.
pinch of salt
Method:
Put the self-raising flour in a bowl and make a well in the center.
Add the cream and the lemonade/soda water.
Mix until just combined and make a dough.
Roll out the dough onto a floured surface. It should be no more than 2 cm thick.
Cut out with a scone cutter and brush with milk before you place into the oven.
Bake for about twenty minutes at 180 degrees, or until golden colored.
Serve with cream and jam.
Enjoy!

I had never heard of scones until I went to Wales and England on a rugby tour – now I have them often. not sure I am ready to make them – I am better off buying them I am afraid.
Thanks for stopping by Dave.
I agree it is far easier to buy them and they aren’t very expensive either, but they are also super easy to make, which is why I included this recipe.
