Custard Biscuits Recipe To Die For

This is a very easy custard biscuits recipe and it makes about 96 biscuits. This custard biscuits recipe is both easy and will save time as it makes a lot unless your family are like mine, then they are all finished in a day.
Custard Biscuits Recipe
You will need:
500g butter at room temperature
1 and a half cups of sugar
2t vanilla essence
4 eggs
half a cup of custard powder
2T baking powder
6 cups of cake flour
Method:
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
Line a few large baking sheets with baking paper and grease the paper with non-stick spray.
Cream the butter and sugar until pale.
Whisk in the vanilla essence then whisk in the eggs one at a time.
Sift the dry ingredients together and mix into the butter mixture.
Roll out batches of dough to about 2 mm thick, and cut out circles with a 6cm cookie cutter or any shape other you feel like.
Cut out the shapes until the dough is finished.
Arrange the biscuits on a prepared baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the sides begin to brown.
Allow to cool on a wire rack and store in an airtight container.
Optional Ice Cream Sandwiches For The Kids:
Here is a great twist on this custard biscuits recipe that the kids will love, but you will need to cut them all the same shape before you bake them.
Put a spoonful of ice cream on a biscuit. Carefully flatten the ice cream then top with another biscuit to form a sandwich. Wrap in waxed paper and freeze until needed. If you want to sandwich all the biscuits then you will need about two litres of ice cream.
If you want to sandwich all the custard biscuits that you have made then you will need about two litres of ice cream.
